Tahseen Muheisen,

About the Director
I am Tahseen Muheisen, a Palestinian film director from Gaza. I was born in Al Shati Refugee Camp in 1969 where I grew up. I studied journalism in Gaza and cinema in Paris. Then I returned to Gaza and worked in the Palestinian Ministry of Culture for 7 years.

In 1996 I directed my first film. I moved to Oslo permanently after the death of the late Yasser Arafat.

I made 16 documentaries and 4 feature short films, a number of which I also produced.

I have always been fond of the reality cinema and conveying the Palestinian life details , as a citizen, asylum seeker and immigrant.
