Ghassan Abu Laban

 Ghassan Abu Laban was born in Bethlehem and earned his BA in Fine Arts at the Yarmouk University in Jordan. He currently teaches painting and drawing at the University of Jordan, specializing in portrait and figurative painting. One of the leading artists in Jordan, he has exhibited in more than fifteen countries with more than twenty-four solo exhibitions and placement in biennales, earning three international awards.  A poet and critic, he presently is developing a contemporary theory of aesthetics with an artist’s approach.
