Afternoon of Storytelling with Fidaa Ataya

  • Palestine Museum US 1734 Litchfield Turnpike Woodbridge, CT, 06525 United States (map)

We are excited to have been able to add this last minute event and take advantage of Fidaa Ataya’s trip to the United States for her presentation at Carnegie Hall. This performance will entertain adults and children alike.

Fidaa Ataya is a traditional storyteller, puppeteer, drama-in-education specialist, and actress who works with schools, organizations, and activist groups throughout Palestine, the Middle East, and Europe.

Fidaa founded and directs the Kan Yama Kan Group and is a Playback Theatre practitioner in the Jenin Freedom Theatre's Freedom Bus project.

Fidaa comes from a family of 8 in Kufer Ni'meh.  Her academic credentials include diplomas in Education, Drama in Education and, notably, from the Arab School of Playback Theatre where she is a member of the core faculty. Her other credits are too many to list, but her work with the Tamer Institute for Community Education, the Palestinian Child Club and the Freedom Theatre mark her as one of the most valuable educational resources in Palestine.

Free admission, but due to limited space tickets are required in advance! Please consider donating $20/person to help us cover the costs of this event by visiting  https://www.palestinemuseum.us/donate/
