Rebuilding Alliance (RA), a U.S. nonprofit, has brought Palestinian children to speak to Congress for four years in a row with remarkable success, evidenced by Sen. Feinstein’s letters to keep the Palestinian village of Susiya standing. This is the first time RA was able to bring a child from Gaza.
Lama (14) was chosen among students from all the refugee schools in the Gaza Strip served by the UN to represent the community as a result of her English and public speaking skills. Her mother, Amal Abed, is becoming a psychologist.
They recently joined children from Susiya on Capitol Hill to present their visions of peace to Congress. Rebuilding Alliance has brought Palestinian children to speak to Congress for four years in a row with remarkable success. This is the first time RA was able to bring a child from Gaza.
