As we consider sculptures worldwide, their inspirations, artistic roles and purposes, the Palestine Museum US presents two sculptors whose work addresses these issues.

Rana Albatrawi says, “In Gaza, we see many things that are broken and ugly, and we make them into something beautiful”, as she gathers the ashes in Gaza to make beautiful figurative sculpture.

Sana Farah Bishara creates figurative sculptures which are then cast, abstracting the figure and often adding faces to form beautiful, but unbending metal sculptures.
